Actor

Simmons spent his early artistic career as an actor.  His range ran from children’s theater to films such as “Falling In Love,” and “Muppets Take Manhattan.”  He portrayed Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, and later a sadistic killer in Titus Andronicus.

“It was always important to me to be challenged,” Simmons said. “I also sought variety in the roles I chose. I put 100 percent into everything I did, no matter the size of the audience or the part I played.”

Simmons also performed as a voiceover actor in commercial. He could be heard on everything from candy bars to photo copiers.
